Just off Williamsburg Drive in San Jose, this modest Mexican spot offers straightforward, no-frills dining with a focus on comfort food. The menu is centered around classic tacos and burritos, serving up flavors you might crave at any time of day—from breakfast menudo to late-night bites. Expect generous portions of slow-cooked meats like carnitas, pastor, and tripa, often accompanied by sides like rice and beans or simple toppings such as guacamole and sour cream.
The atmosphere is casual and quietly unassuming, with limited seating arranged around a counter service setup. It’s the kind of place where locals stop by for a quick, satisfying meal rather than a linger-over-dinner experience. The service is fast, making it easy to grab a quick bite whether you're dining solo or with family. Accessibility is thoughtfully considered, with wheelchair-friendly entrances and seating.
Visitors tend to be those familiar with the neighborhood or passing through looking for genuine, no-nonsense Mexican fare rather than a polished dining scene. Families with kids, solo diners, and those who appreciate speedy service with solid flavors fit right in here. If you’re after straightforward tacos or a hearty burrito, this spot quietly fills that niche within a busy stretch near local hubs without fuss or fanfare.

"It's best to bring Cash. they charge a service fee on credit cards."
"The place looks average but the food tastes great with generous portions."
"My friend ordered a taco dish and that looked really yummy too!"
4 We are visiting for a pickleball tournament and this place was right down the street near The hub. It's a non discript place next to a liquor store. Not much ambiance, bit great food. We both got three tacos: tripa, al pastor, and carnitas. The tripa was mm my favorite, with the carnitas a close second. Next tournament I'll be back.
4 Absolutely love the carnitas tacos at Taqueria Eduardo. Went back for the first time in way too long and it was just as good as I remember it being when I first found it looking for a quick meal near work five years ago. It's certainly not a fancy place, but if I'm just looking for a plate of tacos and some horchata, this is still my go to place in the south bay.
4 First time I have been there. Had a tostada w/pastor. It was pretty good. I'll be back for breakfast. 5/7/2023: had menudo delicious. Lots of tripe, tasty broth and generous toppings. There was a line out the door for their menudo. Saw probably 20 large menudo go out the door. $20 for a large, worth it!
5 Small restaurant with very limited in store seating. The burritos are the best in the area. I haven't had a better burrito since my favorite taqueria closed down to make way for an apartment development. They use whole stewed pinto beans and the rice is perfectly flavorful without covering up the rest of the fillings. The carne asada and carnitas (super crispy) are my favorites but the pastor is also good. What really topped off my experience here was the amazing service. You can tell that they enjoy running this restaurant. One thing to note is that the chips are not great and there are taquerias with much better chips. All in all, my favorite taqueria in the entire south bay.
5 I have been coming to this (apparently there are three and this is the *only* one I’ve tried) for almost 30 years. Consistently the best carnitas I’ve ever had. Matter of fact, if I find myself having carnitas elsewhere Eduardo’s is my gold standard of comparison. My family gets the carnitas tacos which are always excellent. They’ll get my business for another 30 years.
5 The tacos here are really good, especially the chorizo ones!! The pollo asado was also good. I got the tostada de ceviche and it was nuts. If you get it to go, they give you a big cup of super fresh and tasty ceviche. Love it! Parking can be tricky during lunch so you might want to park at McDonalds.
4 Very solid burrito (carne asada). A little heavy on rice, but still good. Hole in the wall, no frills location. But who goes to taquerias for the atmosphere.
5 Good quality food I love me some quesadillas!! I got an asada quesadilla with cilantro and onions. It was so tasty!! Flour quesadillas, the cheese was cooked just right and the mix with the cilantro and onions was excellent! I'll certainly be coming back to try their tacos next time!! Service Great service, friendly staff, and not too busy before noon. Atmosphere This area could be improved. The TV and sounds of a fan can be heard as ambient sound. Some music and warmer lights would definitely make the vibe better The prices were reasonable All this taken together I'm certainly returning if I'm nearby even if it's only to get a quesadilla to go!
Many customers love the carnitas and tripa tacos, as well as the breakfast menudo and al pastor. Their burritos and horchata are also popular choices.
